Campus locations: Distance and online learning options.

Founded in 1970, Walden University’s Richard W Riley College of Education has been offering a variety of programs for current and existing nurses and health care professionals.

Walden University, and subsequently the Richard W Riley College of Education are fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and are members of the North Central Association.

Available Nursing Programs

Current nursing professionals can also apply to take individual courses at the college in order to keep up with trends and changes in health care, and to maintain any educational requirements associated with their licensing.

Online Nursing Degree Options

The online courses offered by the Richard W Riley College of Education operate much along the same lines as regular, on-campus courses – so students get the same value out of their education, but have much more flexibility.

Some programs may require on-site residencies, in which case staff members will work with students to find a suitable and convenient location for completion.

Student Support

Walden University ensures that each of its students is comfortable with their chosen program, by providing a dedicated team of advisors. The Academic Advising team at Richard W Riley College of Education help students choose programs, and find financial aid, as well as assisting them in connecting with other departments.

A Student Support team is available to help students with orientation, selecting textbooks and other materials, as well as finding any other resources they may require throughout their studies. Students who are dealing with life changes may appreciate the services of the Student Assistance Program which provides counselling and support.

The Writing Center and Center for Research and Support are one of the unique aspects of Walden University and the Richard W Riley College of Education. They provide tutoring, seminars, consultations, and assistance with grant writing, publishing, and access to the Institutional Review board, so students can get resources and support for their ideas.
