Founded in 1899 by Dr. John Draughton, Draghton’s Practical Business College has now evolved into South University. With seven campuses conveniently locate throughout the Southern United States, this University has something to offer any potential nursing student.
South University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The University’s online Master of Science in Nursing Degree (available only through the West Palm Beach Campus) is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Available South University Nursing Programs
South University allows for up to 45 credits for previous nursing experience or completed courses for RN to BSN or MSN programs, which can drastically reduce the amount of time needed to complete a chosen degree.
All programs are available in an online format, and students keep in touch with their class through an online portal. South University’s online learning programs were designed specifically for rural students and those with full-time responsibilities. The curriculum includes the same material as other on-campus classes, allowing students to receive excellent instructorship and support while taking classes at their convenience. Students in the online program can study and interact with other students and staff members from anywhere in the world – and on their own schedule.
