Since opening its doors in 1862 as the Agricultural College of West Virginia, West Virginia University has been offering quality programs to students of all ages. Students can find a variety ofdegree programs at all levels for aspiring nurses and those who want to upgrade their education. From undergraduate to doctoral degrees, students at West Virginia University have a ton of options to choose from.
West Virginia University‘s nursing program s are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Online Nursing School Options
West Virginia University offers online and distance education options for those students who need more flexibility in attending school. There are also ‘blended’ learning options that give students the freedom of online studies while providing the anchor of in class sessions. Note that not all West Virginia University programs are offered online.
Student Support
The university provides free tutoring, financial aid assistance, academic advising as well as access to social activities and academic programs for students who apply to the federally-funded student support services program. Access to the program is limited, and admission is based on several factors – including financial need and disability. First generation college students are also invited to apply.
West Virginia University offers access to their student health center (referred to as “Well WVU”) which can provide advice for students looking for treatment of health-related issues. There is also a psychological and psychiatric services office on the campus when students can find counselling, therapy, and mental health treatment.
